Privacy policy

Last updated: October 28, 2026

xt.om is provided by xTom. This notice describes data handling specific to its short-link service and supplements the xTom Privacy Policy. That policy explains xTom’s broader data practices and your rights.

S.EE provides the backend for link creation and redirects. Its processing is described in the S.EE Privacy Policy. For privacy questions about xt.om, contact xTom.

1. What we process

  • Submitted URLs. We send each URL to S.EE to create a short link. S.EE stores the original URL with the short link so it can redirect visitors to the correct destination.
  • IP addresses. The application temporarily holds IP addresses in memory to enforce request rate limits. Inactive entries are cleared periodically. It does not log IP addresses or submitted URLs. The web server handling incoming requests may retain access logs for a short period for security and troubleshooting.

No account is required, and we do not ask for your name or email address.

2. Browser storage

Your link history is saved in your browser’s local storage. The history list is not sent to us; URLs you submit for shortening are sent to S.EE as described above.

If you choose a language from the menu, a cookie named locale saves that preference. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

3. Analytics

We count page views with Plausible Analytics, hosted by S.EE. It uses no cookies, collects no personal data and does not follow you across sites; we see only totals such as how many people visited and from which countries.

4. When a short link is opened

When someone follows a short link, S.EE records basic visit data (browser type, referring page, time and country) as described in the S.EE Privacy Policy.

5. Sharing and storage

We send submitted URLs to S.EE to create and resolve short links, as described above. S.EE stores its service data in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. For xTom’s data retention and disclosure practices, see the xTom Privacy Policy.

6. Managing your data

You can clear your link history on the home page or remove this site’s locally stored data and the locale cookie in your browser settings. This does not delete links stored by the backend.

To request that a link be disabled or to exercise your data protection rights, contact xTom. The xTom Privacy Policy explains the applicable rights and how to exercise them.

7. Children

xt.om is not intended for anyone under 16.

8. Changes and contact
